Clean Cooking Classes

Each month Clean Cooking produces a new online class with a different chef, dish, products, and recipe. Each class will pre publish a shopping list so home cooks can shop for the clean ingredients and cook along while they watch. Featured chefs and other guest chefs will also share their knowledge in our Clean Cooking Podcast each month. And afterwards, they can sit down and enjoy the healthy meal they prepared.

Shop Clean. Cook Clean. Eat Clean.

Clean Cooking Concept

If you have ever wanted to sign up for cooking classes, but never had the time, or  if you are ready to purge your pantry and start over, Clean Cooking is for you! Clean Cooking is a virtual cooking school with local chefs as instructors and home cooks as students.

Clean Cooking Founder

Clean Cooking is the concept of Jan Walsh. As a food and wine writer and publisher of Birmingham Restaurants and Auburn Restaurants, Jan has been in the kitchen with many celebrity chefs. For more than a decade Birmingham Restaurants had a cooking series, “Chef’s Secrets,” which produced long form cooking video segments with local chefs. The series ran until the pandemic of 2020. For several years during and even after it was no longer possible to take a camera crew into restaurant kitchens.

With those days over, Jan is getting back into the kitchen with chefs. Bringing her passion for organic living to the table she evolved the previous concept into this virtual cooking school.  Classes are made up of video shorts of chefs cooking clean in their own restaurant kitchens with home cooks as the students. There is no cost for the school or set time to watch. Thus, the cooking classes are free and available for viewing anytime and from anywhere.
